In one line: you call our number, the call is routed to a participating licensed plumbing company that serves your part of Greenville County, and you talk to them directly about the job, the price and the timing. GVL Plumbers is the referral line and guide. We don't do plumbing work.
What happens when you call
- You dial the number on this site. The line is open 24/7. Weekday daytime calls usually connect fastest.
- Your call is routed by our call-routing partner to a participating plumbing company that covers your ZIP code. First, a short automated menu asks for your 5-digit ZIP code and whether you need service at your home, so have your ZIP ready.
- You speak with the plumbing company. Tell them your address, what's happening, and whether the water is shut off. They'll tell you what they can do and when.
- You decide. Ask about any trip or diagnostic fee and get a written price before work starts. Booking is between you and the company.

What we are, and what we aren't
We are
- An independent referral line for homes in Greenville County, SC
- A local guide with sourced prices, first-step instructions and town-by-town notes
- Paid by our call-routing partner when your call connects to a participating company
We aren't

Questions to ask the plumber
- What is your South Carolina license number? (Check it on the SC LLR website.)
- Is there a trip or diagnostic fee, and is it credited if I hire you?
- Can I have a written price covering parts, labor and any permit before you start?
- What warranty comes with the work, and does it depend on a membership plan?
- Is a permit needed, and will you pull it?
Who the line is for
- Homes in Greenville County, South Carolina: Greenville, Taylors, Mauldin, Fountain Inn, Greer, Simpsonville, Five Forks, Travelers Rest, Piedmont, Wade Hampton, Berea and Conestee.
- Not for businesses or commercial buildings. Contact a commercial plumber directly.
- Not for Greenville, North Carolina.
- Renters: your landlord or property manager usually arranges repairs. For an active leak, shut off the water first, then tell them in writing.
Call recording
Calls may be recorded by our call-routing partner for quality and billing purposes. You'll hear a notice if your call is recorded.
If something goes wrong
We can't settle disputes between you and a plumbing company, because the work and the agreement are between you and them. If you have a problem with a licensed contractor, you can file a complaint with the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, or contact the Better Business Bureau. Tell us too, at hello@gvlplumbers.com: it helps us decide which companies stay on the line.
